Presentations must engage, intrigue, and transform audiences. Your job as a presenter is to get your message in tune with the audience. How? By making it all about them, not about you and by capturing and holding their interest in the one way that’s most natural for us as human beings: storytelling.
Storytelling is the way our brain functions, processes information, creates meaning, and remembers. Stories help us connect with our hearts and minds. Yet they are used so rarely in presentations, which is why most presentations lose our interest very quickly.
Slides after slides of bullet point and dry text (mixed with the occasional image) are not presentations. Following a story structure and using different softwares can make your presentation more dynamic and better suited to your audience.
